Peer Effects in Video Game Habit Formation (Working Paper)
This paper develops a game-theoretic model of addiction within the Becker and Murphy rational addiction framework, extended to capture the role of peer effects. I apply the structural model to video game consumption using data from Steam, the largest online game distribution platform, and estimate a tractable linear demand function derived from the model using system GMM — an approach that addresses the endogeneity arising from the temporal dependence built into addictive consumption.
Misinformation Aggregation: Theory and Experiment (Working Paper)
This paper builds a theoretical model of deceptive behavior in group settings, where individuals with heterogeneous information endowments exchange and aggregate information. I test the model's predictions through human-subject laboratory experiments, identifying behavioral departures from rational theory — including overconfidence in private information and lying strategies that vary with individuals' risk attitudes.
